Ingredients
- 1lb. Chicken breast (or 1lb. round or sirloin tip steak) cut into ¼ x 2” strips
- 1tbs. worcestershire sauce
- 2tbs. cornstarch.
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 1can (248 ml/10 oz.) mandarin oranges, drained
- ½ cup orange juice
- 1cup fresh mushrooms, sliced (#4 cone)
- ¼ tsp. ginger
- 2 cup fresh snow peas
- 1-2 cloves garlic
- 1 medium red onion, sliced (#4 cone) or shred (#2 cone)
Instructions
- Mandarin oranges and orange juice perk up this stir-fry. Keep a bottle of hoisin sauce in the refrigerator and add a splash to any stir-fry’s for extra flavor. Serve over hot fluffy rice.
- Place chicken (or beef) in large shallow dish. Combine Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, orange juice, ginger and garlic; pour over beef and stir. Set aside. In wok or skillet, heat to medium-high; stir-fry onion, snow peas, mushrooms and green pepper for 2 minutes. Move vegetable to side of work. Drain beef, reserving marinade. Stirfry beef until no longer pink; mix with vegetables. Add orange segments. Combine reserved marinade with cornstarch; add to wok and cook just until thickened.
